PROJECT SUMMARY
The Brisbane Metro Depot, located on a 10-hectare site at School Road, Rochdale, is set to be a key facility for the new battery electric Brisbane Metro fleet. The depot will feature storage and maintenance capabilities for an initial fleet of 60 electric vehicles. It will incorporate advanced flash charging technology, capable of recharging a vehicle in under six minutes, and a large solar photovoltaic system to help offset operational demands.The facility will include a 15-bay maintenance garage with a 31.6-meter clear span and a total area of 4,200 square meters, as well as a bus wash building covering 1,300 square meters. Additionally, the depot will offer office, training, and staff facilities spanning 2,200 square meters across two wings, ensuring comprehensive support for operational and administrative needs.
